Whaddabout ye, I’m Joe and I’m the hairy face behind the camera at Joseph Gerard Photography.

I was born and raised in Derry, Northern Ireland and although I’ve been interested in photography from a young age, when my first child was born I wanted to be able to document his life so my photography journey really began here. It started with me just wanting to document our new-born son and his life growing up but soon escalated and I haven’t looked back.

I enjoy a bit of craic on a shoot and enjoy having a laugh with my clients while capturing their treasured memories.

Away from the camera, I am a husband to Sarah and a father to four wonderful boys, Oran (13), Conor (10) and twins, Aodhan & Caomhan (3).
